2017 – installation.
Wood fireplace, white paint, picture frames, video flat screen.

…….On a wooden fireplace are arranged, like family photos, a set of frames containing poems and their illustrations. Texts deal with the condition of their subject, and illustration are based on Rene Magritte’s paintings. Behind this fireplace a flat screen shows video adaptations of this family of poems. Images and words coexist on paper and in video. Then, we can wonder about the semantic heritage of the painter’s work, of the home legacy, the condition of individual, or even the orientation of a fireplace that is not longer a technical side but a new space of conviviality.
